Through a comprehensive assessment conducted by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) — a collaborative endeavor led by CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) — Panacea’s emission reduction targets have been endorsed and recognized as credible.
Under the visionary leadership of G.V. Subramanyam, Managing Director of Panacea, the company has embarked on a comprehensive approach to minimize its environmental impact. With a target of reducing emissions by 42% by 2030 from the base year 2022, Panacea aligns its goals with the ambitious 1.5-degree trajectory outlined in the Paris Climate Accord, aiming to mitigate the adverse effects of global warming.
This recognition by SBTi marks a significant milestone for Panacea, making it the first and only Indian manufacturer in the healthcare equipment and supplies sector to commit to such ambitious emission reduction targets.
